Our video shows the difference in a 20th Century school and a 21st. 20th century schools were modeled after factories. All students were taught the same way and were expected to learn in the same amount of time. Teachers and text books were the main sources of information. Students would be competing against each other for local jobs. Students today must develop 21st Century skills. They must also be taught in away that allows them to compete in a global market place. Technology has flatten our world and our student must become critical thinkers, problem solvers, innovators, communicators and collaborators. They are competing with students from around the world for jobs in their own back yard. Two images from our video tells the story. Students from the 20th century were bored by school and layed their heads down in frustration. The kids from the 21st century yelled," Learning is fun!!!"
